"This is 911...what's your emergency?"

Seems Davey has decided to get to know our local's

finest as he has called 911 twice in the past week.

First on my cell phone and then yesterday while at

work with mom. The first call he made only got a call back

from the police to see that all was o.k. but the second

call was enough to merit a visit from the Orono Police

Department. With my head hung low, I sheepishly admitted

I had given Davey the phone to keep him still while I changed

his diaper. How does he do it? A little mastermind!

I should have known...he's been up to something for

quite some time now! We're in for it!!!

Busy boy at the park

Davey loves to play at the park! He went yesterday with Daddy and today with Mommy and all the kids! He keeps busy and naps well!!!

a budding musican!

Those of you that know Davey know that has already shown quite a love for music. Especially the drums. Yesterday we took Davey to Guitar Center and he had a blast! He walked around and looked at every guitar he could find. He turned every knob and picked at all the strings. Then I took him to the piano section and he had a blast "tickling the ivories" and pushing buttons on all the clavinovas. The Grand Finale of Davey's 1st visit seemed to be the Drum section though. When he walked past the room, there were kids/people pounding away and he totally did a double take and stopped dead in this tracks. It was SO funny. For a kid whose scared of the vacuum, he sure can stand a lot of loud noise when it comes to banging on drums (every mother's dream!). I put him up on the seat in front of a big set and he knew exactly what to do. He grabbed the sticks and started banging every drum within his reach. I wish so badly that we had brought the camera with us because he looked so proud to be up there. I've attached a little video of Davey "jammin' " with Daddy and Uncle Jack. Next time we head to Guitar Center we'll be sure to bring the camera.

Fun to be one!

We'll start Davey's blog with a few pictures from Davey's 1st birthday! He was lucky enough to have several celebrations and his 1st taste of cake (which was a hit!) He enjoyed being the center of attention(which isn't terribly unusual for him, but enjoyable 

non-the-less!)

We love our Boy and can't believe how quickly his 1st year went. He keeps us on our toes and highly entertained! He's a busy boy and like most kids his age, sits still for all of about 30 seconds at a time. He started walking right before his birthday and is getting better each day. He's working on running now! He's a climber and has mastered the couch, coffee table and stairs (up and down). 

  He loves music and dances to any steady beat,including the running dryer and dishwasher! He has been seen turning garbage cans over to become his drums and will perform in front of any audience. He checks out Dad's guitar everyday...just to see if he's ready to play with the band yet.

  Lately, he has developed a very "bad cough", it seems to be brought on by the need for attention but he will cough on demand any time any place.He even showed the Dr. his "bad cough" at his 12 mo. well baby check-up! 

I hope you enjoy this little peak at Davey's life. For those of you who don't see him on a regular basis hopefully this will help keep you posted. I'll try and update often.
