Today it's Miss Lauren's turn to be the Blog star. I am having so much fun with my little girl and we are all enjoying seeing her sweet smile and hearing her coos. Lauren and I visited the American Girl Store at the MOA on Friday. I had fun thinking about her playing "house" with her babies someday. She, however, decided that since she had been screaming for an hour straight, the AG store was just the place for a nap.

I know, I know...this story may come as a shock to many of you who simply cannot imagine sweet innocent Davey pulling a stunt like this. Don't let that face fool you any longer.

This morning I caught Davey attempting to climb up and push buttons on the computer...something he is NOT allowed to do. So before he got to the keys, I stopped him, saying " DAVEY, Do not touch Daddy's computer or I will spank your bum." He looked at me, smacked his butt a few times (with a smirk on his face) and quickly smashed as many buttons as he could before I could get to him. Now, now Grandma, don't tell me he was simply trying to save me time by spanking himself thus being thoughtful. Naughty and Sassy is what he is!!! You might notice I have lost a considerable amount of hair the next time you see me and it's because I spend a good part of my day pulling it out! Lauren, on the other hand is usually as angelic as her rosy cheeks make her look :)

Here's Lauren saying "Oh my, He did WHAT? I would never dream of aggrivating my poor mother that way..."

Davey language

Although Davey can only actually articulate a few handfuls of words,

he speaks volumes with his body language.

For instance...

"give that to mom" apparently translates to "run with said object...fast!"

"I said NO!" = "I say yes"

"Come here" = " No thanks, I'm fine where I am"

" If you keep doing that you will have a spanking"= "oh goody...I like spankings!"

"give mommy a kiss" = "find daddy and kiss him!"

"Do I have to come over there?" = "I only have about 30 more seconds to enjoy myself...make the most of it...seize the day!"

"Look at me!" = "ignore...ignore...ignore!"

"time for nap" = "quick...pull all my toys from the shelf...might buy me another 10 minutes!"

"Lauren doesn't need a push in her swing" = "speak for yourself Mom"

"that's Lauren's nuk" = "I'll take that, thank you!"

So as you can see, we are becoming fluent in Davey language and are exhausted at bedtime.

Here are our Turkey hands/feet!!! Aren't they cute? I also posted a few pictures of our little rockstar! He is completely obsessed with anything guitar these days (makes for a proud daddy!) He knows how to hold his hands and in these pictures he's actually strumming with a pick. SO cute and very proud! The pictures of Lauren are the pro pics I had taken of her when she was only 6 days old (a special thanks to Roxanne!!!) She looks much different now but are a sweet reminder of those precious first days. Thought I would share them with you. Here's wishing all a happy thanksgiving! Better get back to baste that turkey... yummy!

Here they are...new and old (3weeks) pictures of baby Lauren!!! I apologize if they're out of order:( She is doing well and growing quickly. Davey loves her and so do we!

This Thanksgiving we are feeling extra thankful for our 2 healthy kids.

"Even though I have a sister...I'm still king"

Davey's sister (who is still nameless!) arrived Saturday October 25th, 2008.

She weighed 6lbs and was 18 inches. She's just a little peanut!

So far she is a good sleeper, eater and pooper!!! Davey seems to be adjusting well.

He either pokes and smiles at her or ignores her. He likes to give her kisses too.

We'll post more pictures as soon as we can. Stay tuned for the final decision on a name.

(I know it's crazy...we've had 9 months, we just can't decide!!!)
